My wife and children and I have been coming to Vendée for many years. We particularly love this department for the number of things to do here. It is true that the road network is ideal and allows us to get here in 4 hours from our home. The diversity of landscapes is also one of the reasons for our interest in the Vendée.
So we have tried many campsites in the Vendée. And last summer, it was the turn of Camping Le California. We hadn't yet tested this part of the Coast of Light and we simply loved it! Its location also makes it a camping to best of Vendée in a peaceful haven, barely 3 kilometers from the beach (which allowed us to get there by bike with the kids), and close to the Monts forest. We filled up on walks according to our whims: beaches, forests, marshes, countryside... That's the advantage of choosing a campsite ideally located near bike paths.
But of course, if I may say so, it is the best campsite of Vendée, it is undoubtedly for the atmosphere that emanates from it. A family and friendly atmosphere reigns here. The welcome is warm, we are advised and guided with smiles galore. And what about the facilities? They are excellent! Aquatic area of nearly 400 m² including several heated pools (indoor and outdoor), water slides, paddling pool, sauna, jacuzzi. And plenty of entertainment that kept us all amused.
So young and old alike have once again voted for the California for our next vacation, which makes sense when you've found the best campsite of Vendée, We don't want to leave it!
